Permanent US Resident (green card), how do I travel?

I am a US perminant resident (green card) and I have my passport from my country of origin. Is this all I need to travel??

I want to visit England to see family

Answer:
if your nationality requires you to get a visa for entering england, you'll need to obtain a visa whether you have green card or not, its only that the chances of getting visa is kinda guaranteed for you.
You will need only your passport for England but, your green card and passport to come back.
