Your father can file papers for you as soon as possible, cause as a resident he has the rights from the first day. He has to summit an I-130 for you. There will be no visa available at this time so you will have to wait until there is one. In the meantime your father can work, earn money a file taxes. If his earnings are not enough at the time the visa is available you can use some one else as co-sponsor. So don't have to worry about that for now. Go to uscis.gov and find out more.

as for bing sponsored a friend of mine retired age wanted to move out there his sister has lived there for years well for her to sponsor him even though he is quite wealthy it would take 9 years so i think the answer would be no to your question , dont do it anyway its a bad move .
