What percent of the Mexican population is hungry?
Answer:
According to the World Bank, 53 percent of Mexico’s population is poor (living on less than $2 per day), while close to 24 percent is extremely poor (living on less than $1 per day). These families are “foodinsecure,” meaning they cannot meet even their most basic nutritional needs for some or all of the year.
The vast majority of Mexicans are peasants..With a population of 200 million, with exception of the big cities, where people tend to do better, most of Mexico are poor campesinos (peasants)...Opps stand corrected, your right, population is 106 million.
World Bank
It's not as high as you are told by people here
Depends what time they answer this question. I just ate awhile ago. Will probably get hungry again around 5:30-6:30pm.
And my source is my appetite!
One can't go hungry even if one just eats food that most of you would joke about for its price and so on.
So when one has survived on the basics imagine how much importance one places on not thinking that one "must"eat out daily, and miss out on the family bonds like spending quality time with our loved ones. Classes above us does not impress us nor do we care what others have because that's where the root of ignorances is and lies internally as well directly out..
I don't know any particular numbers, or how one would even begin to define such a statistic - maybe by poverty levels. But, it obviously is nothing catastrophic, otherwise our government would be sending aid, there would be relief efforts, we would be accepting refugees, etc. People can say all the mean things they want about the US, but we certainly do always show up to help in situations of desolation. And, if not our gov't., then our charitable agencies do.
100% of my friends, family and coworkers couldn't care less.
Africa..99.9%
I'm guessing 100% of them are hungry at some point in time. Do you mean poor?
i don't think anybody has asked the population as a whole how hungry they are..
that would be rather silly don't you think???
Are you talking about the Mexican population in Mexico or the Mexican population in the US? Either way, I'm more worried about the AMERICANS that are hungry in the Appalachian mountains and poverty stricken towns in the deep south USA. I'm more worried about our congress withholding funds for our troops and having a soldier hungry in a foxhole half way around the world. I'm more worried about the homeless war veterans that are standing on the corner, hungry.
What is your agenda??
Why ask about only Mexico?? There are countries a lot poorer than Mexico!!
I honestly dont think any of them go without a meal,Americans send millions of dollars in aid to Mexico,Maybe Im wrong but I wouldnt try to have a family if I couldnt support them. Why is it up to AMERICANS TO SUPPORT THE WORLD WHILE WE ARE DISRESPECTED?I do know that many 3rd world countrys are in more desperate need of food than Mexico.Mexico is a rich country,if their government would help the people instead of being greedy ,whitch brings up the question? Why do they come here instead of fighting for their own country? Why does their government send their poor to AMERICA? Because we take them in and provide free services? Its not right, and its gonna end in a war,Im sure im not the first one thats said that.Americans can only give so much .
0.3314% at any given time, which significantly lower than the corresponding percentage of US population which goes hungry. Now, the old saying comes to mind, you see, it is about a dog chasing a pickup truck, it has finally caught it, now what ?.
Are you going to do something constructive to help hungry people in Mexico or are you just yanking my chain ?
when was the last time you were hungry ?
btw, what about people in other parts of the world ? you give a flying leap about them ?
A LOT
I know no sources but my eyes when I see a lot marching in our streets, and most look like they could miss a few meals and still be okay
according to this:
http://www.metroactive.com/metro/08.16.0...
its 81%
you question is vague..
Mexican, do you mean mexicans in the usa, legal or illegal or both? Ddo you mean Mexicans in Mexico?
Hungry? how are you defining hungry? As defined by the UN? As defined by the individual states of the union? As defined by the FDA or the federal government? The US government has a specific caloric intake cap to be considered "hungry". The usda government calls hunger "food insecure" and hunger is officially a term not used in official government works.
Angela R., I hope your poverty statistics aren't as bogus as your population estimate. Mexico has an estimated 106 million people, nowhere near the 200 million you cite unless you count the trash that they have dumped on us.
How about the percentage of US citizens that are hungry, or can't afford healthcare, etc.
