American marrying a Filipino?
Answer:
I am a Filipina married to an American. I only have few simple suggestion:
Visit the USA embassy or the manila USA embassy web site. You will get a list there of the requirements. be sure TO HAVE ALL OF THE REQUIREMENTS. Make a check list, double check, triple check and quadro check, etc. Document all your communications, letters, emails, phonecall bills etc. Have pictures of you and her together and much better if from a professional photo studio with receipt. Save all your plane ticket getting there and also your hotel booking. Make copies of it and let her have the original and have the copy. Also download the forms you need for fiance visa from the site and fill it up before you leave and notarize. Let her have all the papers and permits she needs and if she had been to other country for more than 6 months make sure she have a police clearance from that country.
When you get here to USA file the fiance visa. I am not sure how much it cost now but it cost quite a bit. Better if you and your fiance will have a constant communication like chat in the internet so you can discuss things needed to be done or plan for the trip and the interview. Tell her to be carefull not to get sick and for you and her sake... NEVER, NEVER, NEVER get her pregnant before her interview or before she got there because even if it is your baby, she will be authomatically be denied until she give birth and with the record of being denied it will be 10X harder for her to reapply for the visa.
If she got the interview, it really wont be a help if you are here or not. Having you here wont help the interview result. What matters is if your relationship is genuine and that she should never ever lie as they could tell. Tell her to be simple, calm, be true not too vocal though, just answer the question as short as possible, if it is just yes or no just answer yes or no and nothing more. Be sure she have everything before she get to the interview. It is better to wait to get to the interview when your papers are complete than go to the interview with lacking requirements. After the interview with complete papers (Fridays), she will received the result by (Tuesday-Thursday) by the next week so it would take the least of 4 days if she went to the interview with complete requirements because if not, it would turn like mine, 6 months before I got the result.
Just make sure to complete the requirements and be true and everything will be fine.
file a fiancee visa, then when you go back to the states, she follows and you get married in your home town
Instead of guessing, why don't you talk to the JAG office who can advise you on the legalities of the situation.

The embassy is right on the baywalk in Manila, can't miss it. Good luck, hope everything works out for you.
Go to the US embassy in Manila. They will be able to itemize all that you need to do, give you the exact cost as far as filings at the embassy. You have some other minor fees you have to pay for, but that is almost negligible. My best advice, stay away from people claiming they can help you get things done right away. No matter what, if you decide to get married in the Philippines, the whole process will take about 10 months then you should be able to move her to the states.
If you want more information, send me an email, my best friend just went through the process.
I don't think marrying in the Phillipines will make it happen
any sooner. Since you're online just check out the USICS
or whatever it is they call it now. You also might want to
investigate the Korean women around your area. They are
okay too. They are passionate also. Although maybe not as
hot blooded. And if you can make it too Okinawa, talk to the
girls on the beach. They will tickle your funny bone.
There are women all over the world. Just because one plays
sweet you're gonna bet your life on it?
How about getting all the paperwork ready, going back to
the United States, then deciding if that's what you want to do.
