What should we do? The Mexican gov can look the other way and in return, the US would agree to legalize a few thousand undocumented persons.

mexico will not look the other way unless it is to ignore the fact that they are losing so many of their citizens to the U.S. as illegal immigrants. if the mexicans want the fence moved let them move it then we will put it back. why should we have to move it? are their arms broke? i think for every foot of fence we move we should also force American companies doing manufacturing in mexico to leave mexico.
The law say that if someone builds something on another persons property and they do not immediately complain, the other can not ask to have the object removed. My father's neighbors' wall reach into his property line, but we can't do anything until they know down the wall. Let's use that rule for now.

It is BS article. 120 year agreed upon boundary all of sudden declared theirs? Where is their mapping? The boundry from 120 years ago? All of a sudden at a 1 ft to 6 ft is in question. Yeah right. Mexico is ticked. They want bribery money.
Use the money Mexico sends to the US to reimburse us for all the expenses of 25% of their population we have here illegally to fix it. LOL

I took law rural law in collage, and according to the law in the states, if the fence stood there for ( I believe) 10 years or longer , then the land belongs to who ever built the fence.
But this is international law, so not sure if the same rule would apply.
I think it is petty of the Mexican government to complain about the fence, when their military keeps entering into the U.S. illegally.
Screw them! Let them fix it. It was less than 90 years ago we had the Mexican/American war so consider it ours now.
