And where do you plan to come up with the skilled doctors and nurses that we badly need? Not to mention IT people, engineers, scientists and researchers that keep us on the lead when it comes to medical research, science and technology? Think about that for a sec.
Those people are well educated and highly skilled. They will keep America competitive with the rest of the world. For once I agree with Tina Smith.
Don't be afraid of smart people.
The alternative, of course, is to encourage more American youth to specialise in the sciences and mathematics. Unfortunately, most of them only seem interested in taking spring breaks in Florida & Cancun.... play video games and gorge on junk foods. Until then, be thankful that you can import the skills that you need. Peace.

I work in a hospital, and we are terribly understaffed. I think getting more skilled professionals such as doctors and nurses in our country is a good thing.
I keep hearing whines about illegal uneducated immigrants sneaking in the country, well at least these people have college degrees and are coming here legally. Or are you just prejudiced against immigrants in general? And yes, how do you propose we deal with the shortage of skilled workers? Think before posting, man.
What is there to get sick of? Our educational system is quickly becoming a wasteland of ALL Children Left Behind while other industrialized nations and third world nations seem to be creating better educated people.
