What would you do?

Put yourself in an immigrants shoes. You and your family are starving, living in a shack, and are desperate. You have no money or food and have no other options in the world, but right next door is the great USA!You would like to become a citizen the right way but their is one problem....YOU HAVE NO MONEY!Would you risk your life for your wife and kids for the chance to have a better life?Be honest people! I bet some of you guys are going to crack me up!

Answer:
I would take that risk. Would it make me a criminal? Yes. Would I do it for my family anyway? Yes. At least it's not a violent crime--I'm not raping or murdering anyone. I'm just trying to get a decently paying job.
I would risk my life for my family.
I dont care to speculate about it..I am on the other side..they are invading me...I am the one being displaced so I think its wrong what they are doing...they should be sent home in pieces
i would think, how would i like it if a bunch of forign people started to come to my country. i wouldnt do it.
Do you watch scary movies and cheer for the vampire?

You're starting your analysis in the wrong place. The laws that illegals are breaking were enacted to protect our society. The fact that they inhibit members of other societies from participating in the benefits of our society misses the point. Those laws help create the benefits that these illegals want, and if we ignore those laws, we put all of those benefits for all of us at risk.

Personally, I'd be all for opening the borders, but only if we eliminate all of the socialist programs that are a drain on our economy even if confined to citizens, but will bankrupt us if we extend them to the world, and only if we eject anyone that violates the same laws that citizens must observe.
I've done all that already in the USA you didn't see me run off anywhere, if they had any sense of morality they'd go back home that's a no brainer.

You sound like a middle class oberserver that thinks if enough people live like you then everyone does. If you don't understand that millions of Americans take their lives and their families lives at risk then your insulated.
No, other than the Haitians, most illegals come from countries that are rich in natural resources and capital, it is their own countries that are giving them maps to greener pastures for three reasons, first letting those who are strong and healthy leave serves as a safety valve, whose ones will not be in the streets demands a fair deal from their home country, no they will be in our streets in the USA demanding rights that are not theirs to have, second the care and feeding of them and their families is passed on to the USA tax payers, so it saves the home counties millions in those costs, and thirdly those remittances sure come in handy to support those let behind, once again saving the home counties millions. The illegals need to stay home and stop playing the victim, because it's getting old.
i was born in this country, i have been homeless with 3 kids, no money or food. my american govt did not help me. so why should we help anyone else? because our govt says so? no, i will not give free hand outs to anyone. if they want it, then they need to come legally and work for a better life.

illvato, don't play stupid. WAS is past tense. i was homeless in the 90's. i am back on my feet now. if you don't want illegals put down then don't get on here putting americans down.
So, by your logic- if my family is poor, and the family next door is well off, I can just walk in their home and help myself? That's called ROBBERY, which is also a crime.
You're posting false imagery. Mexico, who makes up 50% of all illegal immigrants is not considered a nation suffering from serious malnutrition. Some of the Central American country do show as a nation with moderate malnutrition. Most people illegal immigrating here is not as poor as you describe. If we shut off illegal immigration and increase immigrants from Africa, we might actually be helping people who are starving. The Malnutrition rate and poverty is higher from those nations. As for if I would break the law for a better life, I doubt it. I might if it's life or death, but as I said, most of teh immigrants are not war or famine refugees, and I would be more tolerant to giving them temparary visas.
well if it was life or death for my kids yeh i would

But risking your life can be somewhat stupid , because if u died in the process your family will be short of one provider
I would NOT berak the law!
i don't blame them for wanting to live. it's just the fact they come here illegally making demands and waving a flag that does not belong to this country. one more thing, making personal remarks can get you reported. watch what you say. someone on here is report happy.
Back again, I see. No, I wouldn't put my family in that type of situation. Then again, I wouldn't have children I couldn't feed either. Just my honest opinion.
