are there any available immigrant visa in USA right now, for nurses?? Because a lot of specualtion that they will have retrogression again for the coming months...Is it true, any immigration lawyer pls answer.. especially the one working in USA?
Answer:
The rumour was correct. As part of their push to reduce the backlog, USCIS has cut off Fiscal Year 2007 Employment Visas. They will be available again beginning Oct 1, 2007 (Fiscal Year 2008)
Get your paperwork filed & hope. If you don't have an employer lined up, then check the recruiter's references & sign up with one that has a good record. Remember, petitions on file are at the front of the line :) Skilled worker categories are still showing "Current" so your chances look good.
Not a lawyer, but keeping track of visa issues.
