Why is defending the laws of your country considered racist?

Since when did standing up for your own countries laws become racist?

I am against ALL ACTS ILLEGAL in my country - why does that make me a racist?

If someone in Niger stands up for the laws of their country, are they racist too? What about Germany? Or Finland? Mexico or Brazil? Phillipines or South Korea? Are they all racists for standing up for the laws in their countries?

Answer:
no jay bee your not racist. when people yell racism they know they can't come up with a better reason why we shouldn't stand up for our laws. i to believe in obeying the laws, i'm not racist. just keep up the good work
Be specific my friend so that we may sympathize with your frustration.

Are you condemning the illegal immigration of specific races or everyone? If it's a certain race, then yes you're racist, if not then don't sweat it.
I didn't know that made you racist. Who is calling you a racist because of that? It really depends on your views on other thngs.
Some left leaning people think that some of our laws are unjust or biased, and they think the laws discriminate. Therefore, to them, if you support such laws, you must be a bigot.
i dun get you give an example
What really oaut to knock your boots is the fact of these crys about being racist yet it is the white man in america who is becoming the minority... How so? You dont see a white college fund do you? lol all these programs nothing set up for the white man things are set up straight up for the other races
It's Ok to be a racist if thats what it takes to make things right. The only people it will upset are the ones that need to do things right or change and who cares what they think.
Well, laws can be racist. Apartheid and segregation were legal. If the laws you defend are racist laws, that makes you a racist, and that's true in your country and in any other country.
It depends on how you defend your country.

If you do it using race as a base, well yes, it may be considered racist.

That's why most politicians try to use TACT!
Anytime I hear someone use the word racism I assume that they are out of ideas and cannot argue their position based on fact.

One danger to this is that there IS racism in the world and some people are prolonging it because they need to get their way on issues unrelated to racism.
BE OPEN AND SAY IT. BE HONEST IF NOTHING ELSE. WHAT LAW ARE YOU REALLY TALKING ABOUT ?
Lets look at it like this, Cause and Effect ok. Cause would be people seeking a better life for their family and themselves. The effect is that its illegal to cross with out correct papers. Now lets look at the case and point shall we.

Slavery.

The civil war would be the cause and the effect would be the law that allows slavery. We are at another turning point in allowing people to make a better life for themselves. I dont know about you, but it brings pride to my heart knowning that people would travel in shark invest waters, desert heat, Oceans for days, just to set foot on our land.

We are the becon of light in the darkness that engulfs them. We dont need to send them home packing. We need to find a way to bring them into the fold. We need to do this because that is what we present about our country. We tell the world that you can have a better life, give us your hungry, your poor, your tired, your weak, your sick, do we not?...

I support the law, but you must always look at all the option with a open mind. If your mind is close it is because somebody has shown you how they think, how they act, how they want it to be. Congress cares not for the weak, the poor, the hungry, only that they get payment for the unjust work they do. When was the last time congress really pushed a bill for the people. Something that changed the tide of the things that are going on in our world.
because the Mexicans think it is and they always think they're right. they are not right they are just jealous because they have a crappy country and ours is great.
People might consider you racist if you were saying only a certain race could not enter illegally. But, obviously you are not. You are simply standing up for our laws, and for that: I applaud you!

So, you can just tell whoever is calling you racist to sit down, shut up, and read a law book.
Racism is the easiest card to play. When I hear even a hint of it...the argument becomes invalid to me.
Since everyone is a "victim" nowadays, and nobody is accountable for their own actions anymore, there is always the convenient "race card" to draw whenever that unwanted attention comes your way.

Illegal by any other name is still illegal. Our existing laws are fine. Let's start enforcing them for a change.
JayBee - you and I know why they call us racist for defending our laws regarding illegals. It's because a certain race wants to make this all about them. The color of their skin, and from which country they came from. I'm Native American and I'm a racist too when it comes to the illegals and American laws. Night after night we only hear from one race and their sympathizers about how racists we all are. Yet as usual they are always the ones pulling out the race card.

We have yet to hear from other illegals from other countries who are deeming us racist. And why do we not hear from those other illegals... because they know we are right about our laws.
I called all illegal immigrants and their supporters racist one day because they refuse to respect people of other culture and religion. Eastern Beliefs state to obey laws with out question. Since they advocate the violation of our laws, they are being disrespectful of Asian culture and therefore racist. I wonder how many got the point.
I hear youJay Bee, they like to twist our words around if they don't like the tune.
It's not racist. They are making those accusations hoping that it will scare us away from voicing our opinions against illegal immigration. They are attempting to FORCE us into accepting it.
When the race card is the only 1 you have to play, you'll play it. But just like a losing poker hand, the intellectual argument that uses that defense is weak.
Not everyone considers it racist, I certainly don't. I call it patriotic to stand up for your country.
Since illegal aliens aren't a "race" but are composed of many nationalities, the race card is silly.
You, Jaybee are an illegalist, like me.
Illegal is illegal.
When people have no other argument for their ignorance, they cry racist, and usually after they make racist comments. I'm not saying there are no white racists, but lately Ive seen so many trying to manipulate and twist the issues, then when all their points are shot down they have nothing to fall back on. I have many friends of different races and we are comfortable enough to have discussions about our differences. We act like adults and agree to disagree in some cases, but we still respect each other, unlike many here, who like to try to bring the worst out of people. It solves nothing.
