Who can and can't certify a document in the uk?
Answer:
Hiya, the easiest and obvious choice is your doctor, a nurse, teacher or other professional person. However, there is a requirement that the person has got to have known you for a certain number of years, if they are not your doctor. Also, should you choose your doctor they may charge you a fee to do it, approximately £10. Good Luck!
a professional you know personally for more than 2 years would be suffice!
It depends on the embassies rules. Ask them. Probably a Notary Public if you can find one.
Able to certify- Justice Of The Peace.
Unable to certify- Milkman.
You may find that you have to put the documents to the Foreign & Commonwealth Office for the Stamp of Apostille, thats an official stamp from a government office to verify the documents are real, best to contact Australia House in London for confirmation
You need a solicitor or a notary.

Why not check with the Australian Embassy? It depends on their rules as to what they would accept. It may be any professional person, it may be a solicitor or notary, or the documents may need some other form of validation. The notes to the application forms should make it clear.
