There are many citizens with Mexican ethnic roots who want them gone and don't like them.
The only ones who do what you are talking about are Mexican-Americans, they are not real Americans and should be treated as subversives.
They are not loyal to America, they are loyal to Mexico and their race.
We gave them amnesty as children in 1986, now they are all grown up and taking their place in the war of reconquista for THEIR REAL countrymen.

Because when politicians talk about immigration, they talk about immigrants and don't differentiate between legals and illegals.
The way a lot of it sounds, since few people actually say legal or illegal, it sounds like politicians want to deport all immigrants, not just illegals.
That isn't the case.
Legal immigrants are fine, it's the illegals who are the problems. If our politicians would just add one word before 'immigration' or 'immigrant', a lot of problems would be avoided.
because I think they know how it feels to want to come to America and know how desperate people must be. Plus minorities often empathize with other people in their same minority.
im going to have to disagree with that. Ive seen nearly the exact opposite.. the majority of american hispanics oppose amnesty.
look up 'the hispanic american coalition'
abc did a polling of this awhile back (2005), and while 53% of whites opposed amnesty, 57% of hispanics opposed amnesty.

i can see how some legal hispanic immigrants would want to see amnesty, because perhaps they have family in other countries and they want to bring them here without the hassle they had to endure, but i dont think its a majority view.

I support the many hard working men and women of any race that had to, by any means necessary, come to this country to provide a better life for their families back home. I understand that it is not possible for this country to allow just anyone in, but this is what these people are pushed to.
No, I am not saying it is right to break the law and that we should just turn the other way and not have consequences for them breaking the law, but that's not what happens!
Haven't you heard of the process people (and not everyone can) have to go through just to legalize their situations. These people are working hard and if given the chance, they will abide by the rules and by doing so, they pay large fines and fees. It is not fair to just see things with one point of view, it's a very complicated issue...
The legal mexicans I know donot support illegals,in fact many hispanics work for the minutemen,I suppose the mexicans that try to get illegals here are family members that just want to get their family a piece of the pie so to speak,the free government assistance,ect.
I have to disagree. It might feel like it in here, but In California over ,50% are against illegal immigrants. THe illegal immigrants are direct competition for jobs for some of the Mexican Americans. They are most hurt by their existence. They might keep quiet, because they don't want to offend some of their neighbors and DOn't want to stir trouble because most Americans can't tell them apart.

Rafael Peralta smothered a grenade with his body and saved the lives of 8 Marines mostly white.And the responses from you to the question :disrespected his story, the uniform he worn, the country he was fighting for, his life in saving the lives of 8 other soldiers. I think perhaps the legal ones who do support them have a personal interest, ie relatives who are here illlegally. Most citizens I know of Mexican descent are heartily opposed to illegal aliens. "They can come here legally, like my family." is what I hear most often.
Illegal aliens are not screened for criminal backgrounds. They are not screened for disease. They are a huge security risk, no matter where they come from. Their returns frequently back to their home nations also carry risks and I expect the supporters have never considered that factor. The NY Times reported that illegal aliens are taking HIV back to the poorest sections of Mexico.
That folks is a huge reason for requiring secure borders and thorough screenings of all who enter and leave.
That isn't what I have seen from the legal Americans with a Mexican heritage. If anything they are strongly apposed to the illegal aliens getting amnesty and want them deported to protect the USA.

50% of Mexican-Americans were also opposed to the Amnesty bill. The other half probably had family members in need of citizenship or were just sympathetic. Others probably didn't care one way or the other.
None of the legals I know do. They are embarrassed by the illegals and wish they'd go home. They say if they can come here legally then all of them could, too. I just think that the illegals of all races, colors and creeds should be deported as none of them are beneficial to our economy. If they have a work permit or a visa that's one thing but to commit identity theft for a job is a heinous crime. We all want our country to be protected by secure borders. I worry most about crime and disease.
