Which countries can people who have British citizenship stay apart from other EU countries?
Answer:
Do you mean a holiday or a permanent move?
Any other country would require you to meet it's own immigration rules if you wanted to emigrate.
china
I would think the former commonwealth nations- Canada, Australia, etc., etc.
If you mean stay as in stay to live there for good, the answer is that outside of the EU the country you decide to live in would request that you become a Resident of that country, or apply for residency and be subject to their tax laws etc. I know a few people who live in various countries outside of the EU and they just stay for their maximum time allowed on their entry visa, then go out of the country for a day or two and return with another stamp in their passport that allows them to stay for another 3 months or sometimes 6 months.
YOU cannot stay in Canada even if you are a British citizen for more then 6months unless you apply through the Canadian embassy in your country i am Canadian living in England it doesn't matter if we are commonwealth I'm having real difficulty you can only stay in the EU as far as i know.the best thing to do would be speak to a travel agent who knows about visa's or look on the web.
Bermuda and the Cayman Islands
in EU countries only, without the need of a visa or work permit
None! You have no legal right to stay in any country just because you have a British passport. The British Empire has dissipated. It is dead! It has ceased to be. It is an ex-Empire!
