I'm a citizen?

i would like to married an immigrant from mexico, would he be able to have a work permit? also how long would it take?

Answer:
Get a lawyer, any advice you get on MyTend.com would be risky to take. We're all morons.
No, he will not get a work permit by just marrying you. And it will take a lot longer than you're anticipating.
Go see an immigration lawyer..
Not sure how long, since all cases are different. However, I moved here from Australia with my wife (she's American) back in 1993, and it took almost a year to get my green card. These days, I would guess it takes a fair bit longer, but that's only a guess.

Good luck!
I don't know ,are you a citizen ?
as i recall it only took me 3 months in 1986
if you are a U.S. citizen, you can file the I-130 petition for alien relative and I-485 permanent residence application along with EAD and travel document with the USCIS. The EAD (employment authorization) takes about 3 to 4 months to be issued. if you are not US citizen, you can apply for I-130 but will need to wait to file I-485, EAD, travel doc until your priority date (date of I-130 filing) is current. go to www.uscis.gov
