How long have you waited once you sent your U.S. citizenship application? and anyone has done it in Michigan?
I live in Michigan so it will be in the Detroit office that I will do fingerprints and interview, but I had to send it to Nebraska service center first.
I only dealt with the California center before which was very fast and efficient. I just want to know whether it is the same here.
Anyway if you could share your timeline, that would be great.

Answer:
I didn't deal with Detroit. I sent my application to Texas. They told me it would take a long time, like a year and a half, something like that. However, a few weeks later.. less than a month, I believe, I was given an appointment to have my fingerprints taken. There, they told me it would take about 6 more months until I heard from them.
But... surprise! about less than a month later, I got the notice for my interview in Atlanta.
The very same day of the interview I was sworn in. Apparently, that's something that always happens in Atlanta as long as your interview is early enough. Otherwise, they'll schedule it for the following day. But it doesnt happen in all the other places. My friend who lives in Florida was sworn in about a month and a half after the interview.
So, apparently, it's different in every place.
I was actually very surprised how fast it was. This happened a little over a year ago.
Good Luck!
