No argument here. You are absolutely 100% correct. You live in a sanctuary city which means the leadership in your city has chosen to ignore immigration law and to selectively enforce other laws. You the law abiding citizen, as you pointed out, gets stuck with the bill AND you have to obey the law..
Personally I would arrest your city leadership and charge them with aiding and abetting because that is also against federal law. Unfortunately our political elites in Washington have decided that they get to pick and choose which laws they want to enforce.
Look at the leadership in California. Feinstein, Boxer and Pelosi. All from the Bay area where San Francisco is a sanctuary city. Who do you think picks Pelosi's grapes?

yes, i agree with everything. i don't think the government deals with these kinds of things the way they should, and i think they shouldn't raise taxes for things like enlgish as a second language just so the illigal immigrants know what the * we're talkin about.
I think that the U.S. should make it a felony for any illegal immigrants to be in the country, and if they get caught illegally in the U.S. then they will be deported back to their native country or they should have to pay a heavy fine. There are so many undocumented Hispanics that aren't paying all of the taxes that they should be paying, and that is probably hurting the United States economy.
One word comes to mind, Enforcement, enforce all immigration laws.

In a perfect world, ICE could continue with their wonderful raids and deport the illegal invaders one at a time. Unfortunately, because of liberals and the GD ACLU, this will never happen.

You know what, how would you like to be treated if you were one of those ppl? have you ever thought of that? would you like to be killed and w/e else those other ppl said to do with illegal immigrants? would that seem fair to you? and by the way, those "answers", if you can call them answers, are stupid. not to be mean or anything but you have to think and actually feel what illegal immagrants are going throw. it most not be easy... some of the havent even seen their families over 20 yrs n more, do you think thats easy for them? another thing is that, well u live in the border, how do you think schools are going to be there? its like right next to mexico, where ppl from south america, central america and mexico cross and not all of them go pass the border! Your Right On! Treat them like they treat us in Mexico! I can tell you a little story that just happened to me last week. I was called to Jury Summons - civil case - 56 prospective jurors. Randomly I was selected to sit in one of the seat on the Jury. Questions ensued by both attorneys for Plaintiff and Defendant. Plaintiffs attorney was asking all these questions. I kept raising my hand answering honestly to these questions - not to show off - then Plaintiff's attorney asked " What if I was to say the plaintiff is a U.S. citizen for 30 years and does not speak English and we will be having an interpreter? Would anybody have a problem with this?" This is a true story! I look around at the other 11 Jurors and once again I am the only one to raise his HAND!! He asks me what my problem was (mind you - this attorney kept thanking me for all my Honest answers) I simply say that I appreciate the cultures that have all immigrated to this country and that is what our United States is made of - however I could not understand why a person who is a Legal Citizen of 30 years, why they do not make an attempt to assimilate to our society. After a 30 minute break - we came back into the court room and The plaintiff's attorney when it came time to excuse without cause - said "Your Honor, I would like to excuse without cause - Mr. (me), thank you for being SO honest." We are being over run out here in Calif with Illegal Immigrants!! Our hospitals are closing, schools have gone down the tubes, traffic is horrible. Last year we had a "Day without an Immigrant" and all the Hispanics protested by not going to work - it was the best day ever to drive to work! Get With It!! If you want to come to our Great Country - learn to be grateful for what we have to offer - don't take advantage!!!
send them back, and tell them to do things the right way. if they come back illegally again, they loose their chance of ever becoming a citizen. The government also needs to get rid of the "if you are born here to illegal immigrants, you are atomaticly a citizen" policy.
You are soo racist. How can you judge people just because they come here illegally. Just because they don't follow any of our laws doesn't mean they are criminals. Who cares anyway? First, enforce our border properly. Make it next to impossible for illegals to enter. Then we deal with those already here. We aggressively round up and deport any illegal aliens here. If they are parents with children we send the children with the parents. ZERO TOLERANCE!
