Is it possible to have a double nationality with two EU countries? I already have French nationality.?
Answer:
my son has french and english..and im half baked...
Belgium allows children to have dual nationality till the age of 18. Then they are considered adult and have to choose wether to be just Belgians or something else.
No. You can only have dual citizenship if you were born from French and British parents...but even so, you have to choose which one to denounce at the age of 18.
If you apply for a British citizenship, you have to denounce your French citizenship.
*blinks* I don't see the point of having two EU nationalities but I know that the British allow dual citizenship.. you'd have to talk to the the French immigration to see what would happen to your French citizenship.
My daughters are Italian and British nationals but they are so because of their parentage. I don't know whether to become a naturalised UK citizen rather than one by birth you would need to renounce your French citizenship. Check the Home Office website.
The answer is both yes and no. The British will allow duel nationality, I have no idea if the French will. As an example the German will not, my friends son is growing up in Germany. My friend has British Nationality, but my friend has both German and British parents. My friends son would like duel nationality (and the British will allow this) but the Germans and pressuring him to choice one nationality or the other.
I'm Irish and British. I can choose to be one or the other nationality or indeed both. I have an Irish passport and a British one also, but I mostly use the Irish one (in case of being hijacked in Middle East).
And How come? you are asking. Well, because I live in Northern Ireland.
