Is anybody thinking of changing nationality in order to avoid the new British ID cards and passports?
I just don't trust the British government to protect my best interests if I give them the information, fortunately I have the opportunity to change to another nationality.
Answer:
I think I'll become Scottish. They always seem to get the best of everything - and the English pay for it all. This will be a great personal sacrifice because I don't like:
Tartan
Council housing
Fried Mars bars
Being glassed
Prison
The thought of having to have at least seventeen children
The thought of dying of old age at 42
Woodbines
Rickets
Having absolutely no sense of humour
;-)
(Yes - I know we're all British)
whats wrong with them?
Changing nationality is like changing your mother.
.
I'm not changing nationality. Just emigrating in about 5 years. My wife has dual nationality. She's already applied.
No. I think I.D cards are a good idea. I don't know why they can't produce one that can be used as I.D, passport, driving licence, and perhaps even bank card all in one. Though the latter might be a bit difficult with all the different banks and different types of accounts. It will probably happen world wide eventually. What I would object to is if they ever decided to have compulsory chip implants, or tattoos.
Go to Italy. The italians have it right - they just ignore any laws they dont like until they go away.
