I am a anchorbaby, is there anything I can do now that I am turning 18 to help my illegal immigrant mom?

Answer:
Start by paying us back for all the free aide and assistance you've possibly accepted over the years of her, and any other relatives you may have here illegally, for having been in this country as illegal immigrants. Take care of that and then we'll start fresh and treat you as an equal.
have her apply for legal immigration
Tell her to get out of my country, she is not welcome here unless she comes in legally!
You could buy here a plane ticket home.
Yeah..pray
if your american you can sponsor her for a green card.
If you are truly the child of an undocumented person, please don't call yourself a "anchor baby." You are helping to propagate a myth that "illegals" have kids so they can try and stay in the US. If your mom was really using you to stay here -- she didn't pick a very good plan. You're eighteen, but she still has to wait ANOTHER 3 years before you can do anything to help her.

So, when you're 21, you can make an Alien Relative Petition for her. This is the first step to becoming a permanent resident. If she entered the US with a visa, it will be easy. If she entered without a visa, she will have to leave and become a permanent resident at a US embassy in her country. Once she's out of the US, she's subject to the ten year bar (because she's resided in the US illegally for more than a year, she cannot return for 10 years -- although a waiver is available). She could possibly not be able to return for 10 years.

Some plan she had to use you as an anchor, huh? REALLY helped her, didn't it?!
I agree with the poster above, your not an "anchor baby", but a human being. Also consider contacting immigrant advocacy groups, they will assist you in helping you weave through this complicated process, they are non profit and will not charge you...Best of luck!
I have friends who are immigrants that are here legally. They had to work hard at it. I have a friend from England who is here legally, but is unable to get a job because immigration is being so tough on her. My immigrant frinds also know the language better than most Americans. That is English by the way. My friend from Germany has better grammar than most Americans. It is amazing.

Teach your mom to speak English, appreciate the risks she took for you, get her legal, don't call yourself an anchorbaby, and encourage all immigrants to learn to speak the language. Those are several things you can do to help your mom.

My Dutch, German, French, Italian, and even Mexican friends all have, but I still find it annoying to have English be an option right along with Spanish. No one gives my other friends their language as an option. This is a hot button in this country right now. Don't be suprised if you get some very nasty answers to your question.

For those who may question it; Yes, I do have friends who are legal immigrants from all of those countries.
you became a citizen only because you're mother look advantage of our country to steal from the citizens

i dont welcome her in my country

you're family's situation is of your own creation, and therefore, your problem
You are an American Citizen so dont even mention that you are an anchor baby. When you are 21 you can petition for you mom for legal residency. It will take years.
Take the law breaker back where she came from.
You are not an American citizen under that law, although no one I know has challenged it. The law states that the child born here must have a parent here "under color of law", which means she must be in the country legally at the time giving birth. This is just another fiction which is not being corrected by politicians for political gain.
