The new name of this country will be Mexico. And because mexicans hate living in Mexico they will leave to search for another country to ruin.
Make Leighann move to Mexico and take all of them with her and care for them since she has so much love in her bleeding heart for them.
First of all shut down the border. Second, round up as many as you can and ship them back. Third cut off all forms government aid to illegals. Finally fine and jail employers who hire illegals.
Hire the cheapest labor we can find from mexico and have them build us a wall to close the border.

Easy. First pass an amnesty and guest worker program. Then start treating groups like the Minutemen the way they should be treated--as domestic terrorist groups. Along with the KKK.
That will give the racists the message that their hate and bigotry are not going to be tolerated. And its perfectly constitutional--membership ina group that openly advocates criminal actions is illegal.

I say that we should annex the entire country of Mexico as a US province. Bringing Mexico into our union of states and providing it with all of the rights and freedoms that we as Americans enjoy should curb the Northward migration of these illegals.
In return for this, we would receive huge tax revenues as well as miles and miles and miles of beautiful sandy beaches to call our own. This would create a tourism boom like no other.
With Mexico now in the union, it would seem senseless for them to continue to come north. If anything, the reverse should begin. Americans love the dry heat of this part of the world. We would most likely flock there in droves. Also, Mexico is essentially a peninsula. Mexico tapers down to a very narrow land mass at it's southern most border of South America. We could then build that nice big fence that so many people wish to stretch from California to Texas. However now it would only be a 50 mile fence instead of a 1,500 mile fence.
I say that we should embrace our brothers from the south. They have many customs and traditions that we could all learn from. They are a proud, hard working people. Yes, I say open this border and welcome our 51st state to the union.
i love mexico and i have some very dear mexican friends but i agree that this problem is starting to get out of hand
we should have higher fences more guards and just better security all around

I would say to first stop thinking of it as a problem. In 5-10 years immigration will slow considerably, and in 30 years, the immigrants who have immigrated to the US (illegal or legal) will be as "american" as you; ready to hate on the next group that decides to immigrate to the U.S. Countries that close themselves to any form of immigration initially think of themselves as higher from the rest of the world in terms of status, and then in a couple of generations they decline horribly. Your xenophobia towards Mexicans is not new, the same was (and sometimes still) thought of about the Irish, the Italians, Chinese, and Vietnamese. You're afraid that they can't adapt, that they can't learn your language, that they have different customs, but so did the many other groups that ended up forming a part of this country. They each brought a part of their culture and turned it into the melting pot. Just because we still eat our steak fajita style doesnt mean anything. Im sure people were not impressed the first time they saw pizza. So stop being afraid of us and hug the next Mexican you see.
Secure the border. Cut off all access to benefits and jobs.
Enforce the laws regarding harboring illegal aliens. Penalize the employers. Establish a reward system for reporting illegal aliens and their employers.
Make it plain to all nations, we will NOT tolerate illegal immigration from anywhere any longer. We will only accept LEGAL immigrants.
As for our southern neighbor, cut off all aid. Withdraw from NAFTA. Then when they squawk and whine, turn a deaf ear.
Demand the UN bring diplomatic pressure on Mexico for humanitarian purposes. To tell them to improve conditions for their people and stop trying to export their poor.
Cut off all incentives to come here: jobs, subsidized housing, food stamps, welfare, healthcare, education, stop the anchor baby BS.give them NOTHING. That should make them feel right at home because that is what they get from Mexico.
Yes, their are illegals from all countries; however, Mexicans are the majority of the illegal aliens in this country. And they are NOT immigrants.
