I am married to a US citizen ..what proof does border need that I will return home when frequently visiting ?

I am a Canadian married to a US citizen but not living together yet .what proof will satisfy the border that I will return home when visiting my husband frequently ?

Answer:
I'd say nothing will satisfy them. Sorry.

It will depend on the person you'll deal with. If they want to make your life miserable, they will.

They might want proof that you have a job in Canada or small children that go to school there, or something like that.
Without a doubt... a passport. If you are talking about going from Canada to visit your husband in the US then you need to present your Marriage Certificate to US immigration and get some type of visa for you to be able to travel back and forth. Be prepared to answer a million questions on why you are not living together. Also, you'd have to be married to him for a few years before they give you any type of permanent status. Take care of this BEFORE you travel.
Good luck.
This is a tough one. The only Canadian-US couple that I know personally decided to live in Canada.
