How do you think a man Like Jesus Christ will handle the immigration Debate?
Answer:
Wow. This is an excellent question.
Kudos to the guy who said that Jesus was a carpenter and would help build the wall! I don't agree, but that is pretty darned funny!
From my point-of-view, it is clear what Jesus would do. He would embrace the immigrants and aid them in settling wherever they wanted to. Jesus' golden rule is to love God, and to LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR AS YOURSELF. He even uses a very relevant parable to make his case: the parable of the good Samaritan. Jesus also emphasized helping the poor, and most of the immigrants coming to American are doing so because of poverty. Like the immigrants from whom most of us are descendents, they are looking for a better life. Jesus would want us to help them.
I think he would say that we are all his people!
If I am not mistaken Jesus said let man handle the laws of man.
Being a carpenter he would help BUILD THE WALL
Jesus Christ would be what the conservatives consider a "commie"
There would be no border
He would make them pass through a pearly gate and let only the good ones in.
But he's dead, so this is a moot point.
Not how all of idiot redneck followers are...
Since Jesus is the only way he would side with deportation and zero amnesty since it is what the general consensus wants
He wouldn't... he was not nor is he a politician! "yes Jim thank you"
As long as they are Christian, he will be cool with them
We are all his people. He sees no color or nationality. So why can't we all be the same way?
He would probably not want people breaking the laws of the land, and he probably would utilize his carpentry skills and help build a wall
Obey the laws of the land in which you live.
Would Jesus uphold the law? Or would he profit from the cheap labor?
As a carpenter, he probably would have hired a bunch of illegals as subcontractors and made a killing.
Render unto Caesar that which is Caesar's ..
Jesus's sole purpose was the soul and not the body. Temporal things were not of his concern.
Liberation theologians bastardized the Gospels from the 1940s to the present and still do.
Build the wall, convict and deport all 11 million.
HE WOULD INSTRUCT THE ILLEGALS TO OBEY THE LAWS OF THE LAND,THEN PROMISE THEM THAT THEIR REWARD IS IN HEAVEN,NOT $4.00 PER HOUR PICKING FRUIT.
Corrupt governments will cease to exist. So will money.
To Miss Diana: My answer was not hypocritical.
first, he is more than man! he is the risaen savior, and has the authority of god himself! and the way things are, man, aand now especialy women, have prove that we cannot!! govern our own affairs! there would be no!! debate with him in charge! he went around healing the sick, gave encouragement, and hope for all mankind! there is no prejdice in him! he is the only one who can stop the terrorism and the other terrors that now engulf our planet! for all the atheists out here: a question: who is the calender based on? the yearr 2007 is the year of the lord and he will return one day to put a stop to man's destruction ands blasphemY!! IN HIS KINGDOM, ALL PEOPLE WOULD HAVE EQUAL RIGHTS!
Jesus would definitely strike all illegals with a lightning bolt and kill them, (just for funzees). He would be especially mad at the Mexicans for changing the pronunciation of his name.
Tons of 'Christians' with very hypocritical answers...*shakes head*
hed accept them with open arms and teach us all to respect one another!
FLAMETHROWERS
If I were to venture a guess he might go to all other countries where illegal aliens come from and he would give them some food and teach them about being good people. One of the things he would remind people of is God commandments, including the one below:
You shall not covet your neighbor’s house; you shall not covet your neighbor’s wife, or male or female slave, or ox, or donkey, or anything that belongs to your neighbor.
It seems illegal aliens covet just about everything we (their neighbors) have and if you want to be a good Christian you should stop aiding and abetting them and send them charitable contributions instead.
Jesus is cool. He's a radical and wouldn't mind shocking today's "pharisees" (judgemental conservatives jerks)
If he were born in the 60s no doubt he would have been a hippie.
I think he's the type who does not believe in borders. Just my two cents...
I could give you bible quotes on both sides, but to be honest, I don't think he would involve himself. He wasn't political.
Jesus was big on obeying the law. He told the people to give Caesar the taxes that were rightfully the property of Rome. I can only guess, but I'd say he'd tell Mexicans to stay in Mexico until they can legally cross the border.
i think he would find a way to be loving, but also respectful of the laws. so...i guess he would call for immigration reform. he would want people to follow the law, but he would ask that the law be more...efficient, and workable.
